The Day before…
We’ve waited for it, we’ve longed for it, we’ve prayed for it — and tomorrow the big day is finally here. The forcasts say that it’ll start raining tomorrow, and on the Hermon there will even be snow.
Beside these exciting events, tomorrow is also election day. I’ll celebrate the arrival of winter and Israeli democracy together with some friends tomorrow evening, listening to the rain and watching the election results on TV. In order to make even more exciting, we’ve all guessed the results in advance, and whoever comes closest to the actual result will win a secret prize.
My prediction, which no doubt will win me said prize, looks as follows:
Likud 27, Kadima 22, Israel Beiteinu 17, Avoda 15, Shas 11 and Meretz 5.
On Wednesday I’ll update you regarding the nature of the grand prize that I’ll most certainly win.
UPDATE: Today, the last day of work before the elections, the hottest question here at the office is “Who’re you voting for?” Two of my co-workers have even conducted an organized opinion poll, checking everyone’s political preferences.
That would not have happened in Sweden.
