Tel Aviv Is Proud to Present

I went to the beach yesterday (yes, I know, I do work hard these days), and it was packed with young men with carefully coiffed eyebrows and minute speedos, who soaked up the sun and communicated with each other in German, Dutch, French and Spanish — and with the locals in broken English.

Apparently, all the efforts to bring in some pink dollars to Tel Aviv for Pride Week must have paid off. Judging by the scene on the beach yesterday, and the streets of the City of Sin this evening, all the gay clubs from Liverpool to Berlin must be abandoned.

Those of you who for some inexplicable reason have failed to notice this invasion, or the rainbow flags along the streets, and who are yet unaware of tomorrow’s events, might want to take a look at this invitation.
